The deck mold will be complete by the week of 4/13.
The first hull is already in the mold. I should have something to post by the end of April.

Come on Terry we need pics.

salesmanship 05-15-2009 08:13 AM

Of course good things take time...

The deck mold is complete and we are spraying the first boat today.
The end is near.

Catmando 05-21-2009 12:17 AM

I'm sure this boat will be a big seller like all Nor-Techs are. :) Will you offer it with inboards? Diesels?

salesmanship 05-22-2009 08:06 AM

We've made provisions in the hull for a couple of I/O's.
Gas or diesel, sterndrives or ASD.

make mine with trip 300's..

Catmando 05-23-2009 07:44 PM

If I was a fisherman I would want diesels and jet drives for transom fishability. I'm not so I'll take quad 300XS thank you very much. ;)

I like the bow flair too, helps to knock down spray and chop, plus it looks good.

dreamer 06-09-2009 05:43 PM

flare great for keeping dry... bad for go fast looks...

i love the police 43 that just came out... bad ass

Jassman 06-10-2009 06:33 AM

the flair is really less than some of the fish boats..to me its a cross between some of them..I like the 43 fish but this is going to be a good looking boat, built ground up, with less weight..and more speed with less power..

salesmanship 06-12-2009 04:11 PM

That fist pick of the hull was taken before the mold flange was cut off. Makes it look like it has more flair than it really does.
It has enough flair but not overdone to spoil the looks.

Catmando 06-14-2009 10:55 PM

I think Nor-Tech should build fish boats on the cat hulls.

salesmanship 06-23-2009 03:35 PM

Hull # 1 has rolled into rigging.
We're going to rig it with a temporary console and seating so we can start testing in two weeks.

who's motors (prob. Merc) and how many on the first CC for testing..

salesmanship 06-25-2009 07:54 AM

As a part of the Big Three bailout. Obama sent us a shipment of some leftover Chrysler 125 HP outboards. I'm going to use 6 of them.

If those don't show up I've got 3 300 Verdados on the floor just in case.

If not used for fishing the seating in a cc is important. It seems you never have enough. This is the best set up I have seen. Do you have any ideas on how this one will be set up?

LapseofReason 06-27-2009 07:11 AM

It's a Nortech they will build it the way you want, for the most part.

How about seats like this? Huury up Terry, summer is here!

underpressure 06-27-2009 08:49 AM

You forgot to tell them about the new Armstrong tiller arm steering that comes free with the bailout motors, no need for additional batteries with the new just "pull n go" start too.

You guys are so far ahead it is amazing!

Time for some photos.
We have the boat rigged with a temporary console and bench seat so we can get our sea trials going. Nothing in the boat yet but we loaded 500lbs of sand bags to simulate the running weight.
Tooling is underway on the console, helm seat and hard top.

ktron 07-07-2009 11:10 AM

Terry, the boat looks real nice! and Big! Does the boat have a self-draining cockpit?

salesmanship 07-07-2009 03:55 PM

Of course

delleto 07-08-2009 08:52 AM

Boat looks great, guys! Nice to see it on the water after all the hard work & effort put into it.

underpressure 07-10-2009 12:10 PM

C'mon Terry give them some more.

The boat is HUGE, and very impressive on the water, the bow is killer.

We ran the boat on Tuesday in the river and it was amazing, 3 seconds to plane (but with almost no bowrise it is hard to really tell) Actually I planed it at about 2100, about 15 seconds 0-60 and it topped out north of 73 mph but that is classified :) on stock props and a realistic motor height.

It handles like a sports car as far as reaction when you move the wheel and backed up beautiful. We did some pretty hard turns and the boat carved hard and the motors stayed hooked up with good pressure. I have not run it in the rough yet but I was able to bury the bow into a decent size cruiser wake and the water stayed out.

Fit and finish is nuts for a prototype, but I guess it just talks about workmanship. We ran about 1.3 to 1.4 MPG at cruise but we really didn't spend a lot of time finessing it for maximum MPG.

I see it running around Nassua today, any way of getting a peak of it at atlantis marina? Its a great looking boat!

salesmanship 07-20-2009 08:35 AM

Sorry I was in the Bahamas too. Otherwise I would have arranged something.
The DEA and Bahamas guys were doing some sea trials.
And BTW they really liked it!

mcraymond3 08-17-2009 08:13 PM

What are the specs - known and expected... once complete? Beam, displacement, draft, etc... How far from done is the first one?

Looks killer so far!
