I had a stopped up metering block in the carburator that I found this morning. Put it back together. Made a couple of adjustments and made a few passes. Runs good now. Putting some time on them before I air them out, but I pushed the sticks all the way a few times. Didn;t let the hull catch up yet, but it is a nice ride. Should break 80 sith the little engines, but she sounds like a big boat with those pipes. Overall I am happy so far with the new madero cams and the machine work and assembly by Owens racing. Still have a lot of things to do to get here complete and ready. :coolcowboy: |

Trojan Man caught a glimpse of her today running around. Burned $500 worth of gas in the last 2 days. She is a fun boat to drive around. Can't wait for some bigger water and somewhere to actually run to.

Great rebuild of a cool ride. If I could afford to put fuel in it I would be headed your way to buy that beast! Love the race layout! Can't wait to follow your new project. Please..... keep us posted on the build. I'm living vicariously through you! Bob

see that he's got nothing to worry about then .:lolhit: |
So whats the final top end and cruise speed numbers???
|
I don't know top end yet. Those shortie drives are letting it chine walk a bit when it gets close to 78-80. There is a lot of engine left. I had it to 83, and got out of it. That was 4300..
I am trying to find a set of stock length lowers for it to see if it will settle down. That seems to be the consensus of what I have read so far. I think it needs to move down to a 30pitch prop as well. Not sure if those 32's are gonna spin all the way up with the longer drive on it. In 1-2' chop, I cant keep the drives in the water even though the boat is not hopping around. Cruise all day at 65 @ 3300. Sweet ride so far. Still a little to do with the set up on it. |

Man... if it was a 90-95mph boat... I'd be all over it.
I have a set of 250 blowers. |
Han't run her it a while, but last time we wre out, we worked out the drive and tab settings a little better. Had her up to 82 with 3/4 tanks. Props are still only getting to 4600rpms, so need a little less prop to get all of the rpms out of the engines. Carbs are still a little fat as well.
Great boat, hanvn't had time to finish all of the little stuff, but we have 20 turn key hours on her so far. Great engines by Owens racing. I have been wanting to get her out and run it some more but my job is gettting in the way right now. Still interested in selling her for a very fair price. 50K will take her. I will give you the bank info to send money, and you can be in touch with them so they will send you title. Trailer ready to move, and boat ready to run, I will have my guys finish all the little stuff and detail in and get it ready to go and fill up the tanks. I just don't think I am going to have time to run it this year. |

Chine walking issue ended up being driver error. Just very little seat time with a stepped hull boat. The more I drive it, the more I get to know her and the faster she goes and the lomre I like it.
Hate to sell it cause it's the first really reliable, and cool boat I have managed to finish and have fun with. It is a lot of boat for the money. I have seen you guys buy hulls for what I am pricing her at. |

Stage 1 of the new carpet is almost ready. Now they have to take it all back apart and glue all 100 little pieces together. Then they put it back on the water jet and cut out Nortech in red letters, and insert into the pattern.
Should look bad ass when it is finished. |
Gorgeous boat! You did a great job, looks killer, 80+ MPH, reliable, low maintainance motors and it doesn't carry a 7 figure price tag, NICE WORK!!
|
For an extra 20K you can get the wihite 4x4 dually that goes with it. :coolcowboy:
