[QUOTE=26awesome;3229147]What kind of prop slip numbers are you getting with your 36 CATS? My 2005 36 Nor-Tech with Bravos is amazing it is getting 4-5 % prop slip at 158MPH Herring 5 Blades. Old Hooters race boat![/QUOTE

Bruce, it's not about how fast your going. It's how much fun your having!

Not happening especially with a bravo prop. You might get 7-8% with a speedmaster prop and proper x

I have no opinion on whether or not the boat really does 158mph, just pointing out some flaws.
You are exactly right on your speed/hp ratio

Default no doubt

I agree wind resistance will be come a factor... once air resitance over comes the benifits of more pack... or less drag by wetted surface ...that said I would rather move air than water....
if anyone noticed
"the only variable unaccounted for is wind resistance"

until summer and Awsome spins a set of 38p props,no one will know if he has reach that point....
I have said from day one it should run in the upper 150's to the low 160's....

there is a gentman I talked to a bunch that had a 35 motion with 1200's, B-max drives it ran in the mid 160's
same boat , same motors and #6's could not break mid 150's
p.s. more pack=less wetted surface=less friction

As far as slip numbers.
My 26 Daytona is at 4% with a bravo drive.
Set up is the ticket.
