The boat weighs almost 11,000 lbs, carries 2500 lbs of fuel and water, add people and gear and that weight savings is less than 2%

the oil savings alone is worth it...trust me, I wish I had a 250 four stroke instead of the 300hpdi

Yeah we just went through this on dad's new 'toon. Unless its purely a performance boat (Skater, Allison, etc) I don't see any advantage to 2 strokes.
