Everything comes with a trade off. And yes the gain would be minimal.

Most definately....the fwd motor in in the center of the cockpit floor and the tanks are on either side of that fwd motor. Thats a ton of weight moved fwd. And don't forget that the surface drives cannot generate the bow lift of a stern drive [IMG]documents[/IMG]

Maybe you should order up that Yanmar/alpha package for your new 477V. Be sure to spec out 20" drive centers so it "looks right"!
