Thanks, that is great to know, but these guys have made me a little nervous about the 43, I think I may be leaning towards a 36 for ease of boating reasons.
Pretty nice boat. My personal favorite that is for sale is the Nortech 44 Roadster with 1075's at Pier 57. $299,000 for a 44 Roadster isn't a bad deal in comparison to other boats in it's class. Nice colors. The only thing is the 36' has the cabin and the 44' only has the porta potti on 1 side. nothing on the other. Good luck with your purchase. |

Lot's of Pics of the Nortech 43 in Key West this week already on Facebook. Under FPC. I guess the owners are still using it.

Yes, that 44 Roadster is bad to the bone, but a little out of my price range. I also want the cabin for my young boys. It will give them more room to run around and/or rest. If you dont mind, maybe you could post a link or pm me so I can see the pics of the 43 as well. Thanks |

Look up "Laura Renee Schrader" she is the organizer or manager for FPC. She posts dozens of pics daily. I am sure she will add you as a friend if you tell her you are a big boater and future FPC member. I don't know if hers is private anyway. She adds the most Key West pics. Cat Astrophe is on there a few times. I will find the other sites for you as well.

Im presuming you are still looking at 43s. This boat looks just as good today as whenI finished putting it together. http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...h_2007/no9.jpg http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...h_2007/13b.jpg http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p...7/DSCN3150.jpg |

I just like the looks of the boat, but it sure looks huge, but nice. Yes, I think I'm leaning towards a 36, but that 43 boat sure does something for me. |
I have a 36 and LOVE it......I am friends with the original owner of Catastrophe, the second owner and the current owner.....all keep there boats in prefect condition and respect the hardware. The 43 is awesome......I personally really like them for the simple fact they are so big but that is me..........although we are all different, I wouldn't have a problem or worry about hauling, docking etc.......I have had two 35 fountains, 42 fountain and now the 36 and I am a one man show for the most part, wifey helps as best she can :).........buy want YOU like, advice is great but at the end of the day you are the one going to be paying the bills and enjoying tthe boat..............just from reading the thread, it sounds like you want the 43 but leaning towards the 36 because of others.
good luck either way, both awesome boats.........I totally enjoy my nortech. |

You are absolutely correct. I am going to try and see the 43 and make my decision from there. Seeing in person should be what I need to make my decision.

Get a hold of Pier 57, that 4400 Roadster with 1075's can be bought really cheap, new boat coming!!!

That is probably been one of my favorite boats, but they are asking $75K more than the 4300 and 44 roadster. To be honest, really dont want to spend that much and frankly dont have to with the options out there. |

If you end up going to Nortech you won't meet a nicer group of folks.
Very helpful and supportive. |

All I have to say is the nortech factory is phenomenal and the people there are great! Especially Trond who took time out of his busy Friday for me. Randy over at fastboats also seems to be a nice fella to deal with. Now, decisions, decisions, decisions.
|
Any running video out there of Cat astrphe?

if you are new to this game like i am, let me give you some real world numbers.
Boat price - doesn't matter that much in the long run insurance - $12,000 new lift - $30,000 minor upgrades (throttles with trim, widen seats, touch up paint) $7,000 engines freshened - $23,000 fuel $4.50-$9/ gallon. Not hard to burn 400 gallons a weekend. So this was a bit of an eye opener to me. I have owned an airplane and i think this might end up costing more to own. Would i do it all over again? - absolutely!! |

Hope things are going well for you. |
I have talked with 3 36' owners from my area who all love their Nortec's . They are great looking boats and the 36's perform very well .
