Absolutely. I just closed the deal on Friday for catastrophe. I am so fired up!! It is getting a few touch ups done at the factory and then coming my way in a week or two.

I just want to say thank you to Peter Roberts at Double R. He is a stand up guy and I would advise anyone who is looking for a performance boat to talk to him. He is very knowledgable and a straight shooter. He is also just a good all around guy. I definately have had a great experience this far in the game.

I will definately post some pics as soon as I take delivery. Thanks again all who have helped me in this decision. You are greatly appreciated.

Congrats Dayton! Can't wait to see your pics. I love the 36 but you can't go wrong with the 43. Bigger is better right? :-)

Congrats

Are you a never before cat owner?

Who did you insure through?

I am a new cat owner and used wake zone. $11,500 first year premium (ouch!) and have to take Tres Martin (which I want to do any way). I was told to expect it to be $7k next year.

Yes that's who I went through as well. Mine is 10k, but its not a skater. I also have to take the course as well but I don't have any lay up time. Ya, insurance is a complete joke for these boats. I hope mine will go down quite a bit next year as well.

Hey Dayton, How is your new Christmas Present doing? Did you take her out for a run yet?

Thanks mike, but I did call him and they were not interested in first time cat owner with a boat of this speed for some reason. Maybe you got in the cat game at the right time.

I am looking to trade or sell this boat so I can buy a more "family friendly" boat. All sarcasm aside, i will get back into a cat when my boys get a little older and can enjoy the boat more. Its more of a me and my friends type of boat right now and I understand her complaint. So anyhow, thats the game plan for now. I really love the Nortech...its a blast!

Orthobam 01-23-2014 12:09 PM

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like my story. I just run the Skater first thing in the morning then put it away. We bought a small Sea Ray with Axius that she can drive and now everyone is happy!

Mentalpause 01-24-2014 09:09 AM

Now the "how hard to sell it" test begins. Good luck, hope it sells fast for you.

Agreed, we will see. I am flexible so hopefully that will make a difference but only time will tell. I don't mind having the boat to use when the weather warms up:)

Orthobam 01-24-2014 11:37 AM

Good idea. If my wife ever suggests we sell the Skater I will list it for $599,000. If she wants to sell the cruiser......$59,000.
