Check out this 30 second video!
Hey guys, take a look at www.hyperfishing.com, click on "these are Faster" to see a 30 sec video of two Nortechs blasting past my Sonic. Freaking unreal, thought I was going backwards! Awesome boats!

Cudos to Jassman for identifing the make and names of the boats!
All I saw at the time were white blurrs and overwhelming sound effects. In the subsequent video that I cut, you could hear my wife swearing at me to help her on the sticks and wheel and stop fooling with the camera. <gg>

Hey Downtown42, that video still brings back the memories for me. Thanks Sony! <gg>
In answer to your question, I figure we were doing somewhere between 45 and 60 MPH at the time. I dunno as wife was doing all the driving and throttling at the time, while I was checking the film situation for the camera. Pure fluke that the Nortechs went by at that exact time and I was able to turn the camera. Wife sensibily eased off the throttles when the Nortech passed me to better handle the resulting wake. You can tell that by watching the sudden speed difference of the waves passing under my bow. Wife is a natural throttlewomen!

Re: Check out this 30 second video!
AWESOME video. Thanks for sharing. Those Nor-Tech Cats are amazing machines. The new 43' is just as 'bad to the bone' as its siblings, the 50 and 36. Saw one blasting down Pine Island Sound a few weeks ago in an instance similar to your video. Thing had to be easily doing 100 and it sounded as though its revs were low - must not stretch its legs until 140. It'd be nice to see some video of that thing. Anyway, thanks for sharing your vid.
