Hi Guys:
Butch Fletcher and I will be there with our 28' Heats. Lots of good racing/partying/poker running/concerts, including Grand Funk Railroad
! We also have a large contingent of MCPAers/OSOers coming.
Anybody else in?
Regards,
Steve

Indiana,
We're pretty pumped up for it. Several of our club members are going to be working the race as course monitors/safety boats. Poker Run, Race, Partying all day and night and GFR!!!!!
I'll probably need to take a couple of days off to recover. I'll get my camera set on low resolution so I can post picks.
Regards,
Steve

Awesome show at Pickwick, Pier 57, and Freddie T's this past weekend. Actually it was a tacky display of wealth
.
Some lucky guy bought Speedracer, which was at Pier 57 for all the incoming highrollers to see, and it is a very cool ride.
He took it out for the 1st time Sunday and ran 160
, was looking for 170 yesterday. Never heard how that went.......

Steve

Rumor had it that you wouldn't be able to watch from the water spectator fleet area, but that was dead wrong. We could see very well. Of course our friends working as patrol boats INSIDE the course had the best view.
The only problems we had were hangovers
and getting a hookup on the sandy bottom of the lake. It was really windy both days (Sat/Sun) and my danforth type anchor could barely hold my boat. Everybody else had the same problem. So if you go next year and plan to watch from the water, get a larger than normal anchor, or a second one.
