Bill,
Unfortunately, our decks don't have any air intakes on the sides. Unless you are willing to do some glass work, this doesn't apply. You really don't need to go to that much trouble anyway.
The deck vents made by Monstaa should work just as well, and I think they look great. The advantage here is that they are in a high pressure area on the deck sides and should have a ram effect.
Maybe not as trick, but still effective are the hatch vents that my friends and I are using.
The vents I'm using came from Eddie Marine.

Steve,

I really like the looks of your hatch vents. The Monstaa deck vents are nice but I like the way yours work with the stock color trim.

I am leaning toward a direct cold air feed to the TB rather than adding cooling air to the engine compartment.

Do you have pictures of your hatch vents from the interior side of the hatch?

Steve,

What tools did you use to cut the holes in the lid?

Bill,
I used a 1.5" hole saw to cut the ends. And then used a circular saw to cut the long straight sections.
Get some safety glasses, and cover your motor. There's going to be a lot of glass flyin' around.............
