Default Tow Hook on 28 Heat (keep it or Plug it)

Bob has my engine out as we speak and I am trying to deside if I should have him take of the Ski Hook on the back and just plug it....I have already banged my knee on it a couple of times........We don`t really tow much of anything and if we do, if it is gone I figure we can always use the Cleats......

Someone posted a whil back that he manufactgor some sort of a Billet Plug/Cap that can be put the in place of the hook..........Who was that???Anybody know

Monstaa on the board could make something to fill the hole.

Bent,
It's a quirk of the company's ski race heritage. How many offshore type boats do you see ski poles on? I agree, it's a knee knocker. The only time I ever used mine was to anchor off. Since we don't have an anchor locker, it was easier to toss it off the transom. I still yanked it.
I plugged mine with a round transom light, and here is Monstaa's vent version.

I fab'd a replacement pole that was flush with the surface and polished for Indy that worked out nice.
I actually like the covers Steve is showing but I may need it to be a quick change setup for my ski racing buddy.
I've actually thought of making it a BBQ swing post

I can say we must all have a bruise or two from fricken things

Dave

Better than nice Dave...Looks like the Nordic market could keep you quite busy with orders
