Wow,
I just saw this Nascar ad, and it is VERY cool. Looks like it was shot at Lake Mead with 3 Flames running toward Hoover Dam,
playing chicken.
BTW, it was a Fox Network/NASCAR ad.
Great job Paul

I saw it on TV during the Ok/Boise game. Might need a little gel coat repair...guess that's why they used white boats.LOL. Anybody know who supplied the boats? Don't see many white ones, or maybe they just edited the colors.

Was supposed to be us here in NY but.....because of bad weather they filmed it in AZ and the factory supplied the boats.

The boats actually used did not look like they do
in the spot, nor did the drivers. They digitally re-did
the boat finish and the drivers faces to be the
corresponding NASCAR drivers.
My boat was one, a guy named Steve Flood from Nevada
was another, I regret I didn't get the third guys name. There
was a fourth backup boat that was a friend of ours from
Phoenix. My boat was #24.
The day before the shoot we got to go on a dry run with the
stunt drivers. My boat was driven by Mike Massa, the guy
that drove the boat in the movie "Italian Job". These guys
really did some close quarters boating, I swear our bow nearly
touched the transom of the boat ahead several times and vice versa. Doing other stuff like running side by side so close you
could reach out and touch the other boat.
Perhaps my most exciting moment was running side by side
(about 50 mph). Other boat just off to our left. And we suddenly turn sharp left! Then as a sidenote, just as we
roll out of the turn a Cigarette (not associated or connected
with any of us) just happens along (not close or dangerous
but still a surprise). He probably thinks he witnessed a near
collision to this day. Those stunt drivers are so awesome.
A testament to their ability is that if it had been anyone
else I would have been scared ****less, but I truly enjoyed it.
(It's amazing what professionals can do to make you feel
comfortable, such as the time I had the opportunity to go
for a ride in SCORE off-road Trophy Truck)
Again, thanks for putting this together, I'm grateful to have
participated in it.
If anyone can get a line on when these will air, please pass
it along.
