Default New to the site...

I am a new member to the site. I have 2002 Rage with the HP500EFI. Are there many of these boats around? If so what kinds of speeds are they running? Mine runs around the 80 range.
Is there any feed back on the Ilmore 550? Are there any in the 35 and if so what speeds are they running?

Hall-N-Ass,
I would say the #s on your Rage are just about right. There's plenty left with some mods..........
Re the Flame with Illmor's, the boat with the Taod paint job in the classifieds has them. Talk to Nordic Gary for the #s. It's his partner's boat.
I don't know how it runs, but it is the most beautiful Vhull offshore boat I've ever seen, and that's comparing it to Cigs and OLs.
Welcome aboard ,
Steve

Is that Pito tube or GPS/Radar mph and open bow or closed bow Rage?

We do have a 35 with 550 Vipers. The Vipers and the 525's both are in the low 90's.

Rage, The boat is a closed bow boat. There are pictures of it on Lakesideboat.com in the sold section(last one). Boat has a GPS speedo and a Gramin 2006c and they both read depending on air temp and sea conditions 78 to 83.

Wow! That is smoking with 470 prop shaft hp. Nice to get hard numbers on a Rage with a known engine other than the 496HO. What altitude do you run at and prop?

The closed bow must be a lot faster than the open bow is all I can figure. The 25 open bow that I built with a 540 that dyno'd at 588 at the prop only runs low 80's. Of course that's at 700 ft. elevation, 100 degrees and fresh water. Conditions make a big difference.

That dealer is in Seatle, WA. near to the bay so could be sea level, cold salt water and cool NW air temperature a lot of the time. Also closed bow likely less weight up front for better lift and much better areodynamics than open bow even with bow cover.
