I need your professional option....

I am looking into getting an open bow Heat and not sure which motor to purchase. I have looked at new one and used ones but everything seems to have the 496 HO. I have even thought about ordering a shell and installing a motor and drive. I could probably save a few bucks this way and get more HP for the money. Any suggestions????

I am looking for something reliable and yet fun to tool around with. I don't want to wrench on it all the time but don't mind doing upgrades once and a while. I am new to the sport...always been a gear head for cars and bikes!

I checked out a 05' last week with about 150 hours on the stock 496 HO. Clean boat but $65,000....

I'll sell my boat any way you want it. It's a 2004 Midcabin. Right now it has 900EFI, ITS,XR drive with full hydraulic steering. If sold with this engine it will be totally refreshed with 0 hours. I have a line on a 500 EFI that I will probably install if I don't get a buyer beforehand. I'm asking 89k with the 900. I'll take 76k with the 500 EFI.
