Hi Guys,
I have decided to take my modified 575/502 up to a 540 cu. in.
motor over the winter. Unfortunately, my supercharger is too small for this application, and even though the Whipple intercooler is very low profile (1 5/8" taller than the stock intake, VS 4" for a Superchiller, etc), I won't be able to fit a BS 871 on it and not cut the sunlounge.
So, the Whipple and recently Darren Mayer Performance Engineering prepared Merc/Weiand 256 with Mercury HP blue crank and blower pulleys and belt are for sale.
I paid over $3000 for the Whipple intercooler alone. I will sell the package for $3500. I am keeping the throttle body injection and flame arrestor. This will work well with 1 or 2 carbs, or throttle body injectors.
This would be a great upgrade for a HP 500 or 502 Mag. If you need installation, I have your guy (EB Marine/Nashville).
This combination works well as the guys at the Nordic Regatta will tell you. I've run over 94 light/good conditions, and 90 everyday loaded. Depending on carburetion and boost level (I run 6PSI), you should see an additional 150 to 175 HP on pump premium. That translates to about 10 MPH+.

I got his name from Barry (Jeff Sutton), but his # is unlisted (?), so unfortunately I couldn't get hold of him.
It's sold. 1st guy that called took it all (from Canada).
