Default has any one put a whipple on a nordic heat???

Ok I thought I was going the procharger, but after looking inside and out I'm going to do the whipple insted. I like how the systems works with the (ECM) and not like tricks it. The 496ho is not the best internals and the whipple has the best fuel management system to help keep the motor running perfect. I was just woundering if any on else has done this yeat on a heat?? I know that it going to be tight behind the back seat and didnt know if I had to move it forward alittle or not?? I have a 02 heat 496ho xr drive single ram (wpm) steering with tabs. It just needs more power !!!!!!!!

The Whipple is the best bang for the buck (Raylar is good too) for getting some extra HP out of the 496s. A friend here has done that successfully on a 28' Sensation and it really helped him out. His boat was running 65ish with the stock 496HO 375.
They put the 425 cam in, the Whipple 2.3 kit, and had Dustin do the computer for a 496HO Mag/Whipple setup, and it's been very reliable. He also added as set of CMI Headers. I think the boat now runs mid to upper 70s. Not bad. This is a pre-step Sunsation.
I think the results on your heat would be even better.
There are some 496 Whipple Heats and Rages and they will probably chime in too.

I installed a Whipple'd 496HO in a Heat but not the garden variety type. It was a full crank up build.
As for your clearance question, you will need to have the back of the back seat modified slightly.
I will look for pics.

I remember talking about this earlier this summer. I think if you search this forum you should be able to find what your looking for. I know the seat in my Rage needs to be modified and I think the same applies to the Heat.

I just wonder if it s a big or small project?? And if i can handle it myself or not. I dont know if i need to just move the seat foward a little or what??? I was really hoping that some one here has done it so they could tell me if its a big project or a simple set back.

The seat in my Rage had to me modified a little but I don't know if it is the same in the Heat. If someone can confirm it, I'll post some pics for you.

I installed the whipple kit myself. It is pretty straight forward. Just take your time and it'll come together well. My seat back and the hatch needed to be modified. It isn't really that much to do. Just make careful measurments and have a pro help you with the upholstery. I recall this same discussion regarding the Heat and I'm virtually certain that the Heat required the same mods as the Rage. I can't remember which forum I posted pictures in. Either here in the Nordic owners forum or possibly under the technical forum.
