Default 2004 35 Flame w/ 525 EFI's

Does anyone have any history on the Flame listed in the classifieds recently? Sure seems like a good deal at $110K OBO without a trailer. I may be interested. Thanks.

That is a great deal for an '04 Flame with 525s and low hours.
A new Myco for that boat should be around 12K, I think.
Not familiar with that boat, however.

Discovery Bay is a salt water environment which is where it resides apparently. It appears moored there as well which is evident by the water lines.
Just an observation... So based on the fact no trailer and a salt water boat; probably still a "good" deal.

Yeah, I thought it was a good deal at that price. I finally called on the boat and it does have some blisters and some corrosion on the drives. Evidently, the blisters are pencil eraser in size but not sure how extensive.

What is the approximate cost to fix blisters? Would this boat be more susceptible to blistering in the future? Thanks for your help.

I would be VERY LEERY of any boat that sat in Salt water for any lenghty period of time. It's the things you CAN'T see from the outside, (SALTWATER Corrison in the engine cooling passages, headers, etc, for example) that would scare me. And also the eleltrlosis that happens to boats that sit in saltwater.
did you ask the owner how and with what did he flush the engines with?

Salt water is OK IF ...the boat was flushed every time it was used, washed every time it was used and so on.....moored in salt water......BLISTERING.......big trouble......find another boat.

I think we can rule most of those out...........

The boat comes with no trailer.
The water line looks like it's part of the boat.

With that being said, with todays soft used boat market, a guy/gal could probably pick it for less then it's being offered, rebuild the motors and have a pretty nice boat.

Thanks for all your feedback. Wouldn't a professional survey be able to determine the extent of salt water corrosion? Could they determine internal corrosion? Please advise.

YES 100% ..... They can also do a water intrusion test in the blistered areas as well.......HAVE IT SURVEYED if you are interested in buying the boat.

I would also advise in that survey to have Thermal Imaging done on the boat to determine if there is any water intrusion on the hull.

We have our surveyor scan the entire boat for our clients.
I attached a picture of a 1998 Baja that has water in the hull and transom. The file is so detailed I had to zip the file.
