What is the trick to changing the supercharger oil in the whipple. I looked at it and it does not look like there is any way to catch the oil from going all over the place??? The drain plug is on the bottom, but it seams like there is no room to catch any of it???? What have you done in the past. Whipple said to change it every 100 hours or every year. I only put 40 hours on it last year but i would like to change it before this year. It starts to look a little dirty, but not bad. The new oil is pure white. Whats the trick or is there one???? I hat to make a mess all over the motor.

I use a big syringe to suck out most of it then catch to rest on some shop rags from the drain.
What oil are you using?

I got some sent from Whipple. The same stuff you get when you buy the kit. I'm not sure what kind of oil it is but I'm sure that I paid more for it than i should buying it from Whipple. But I don't care. I just want the right stuff. It was,nt that much. What do you use??? And thanks again for helping me out. Did you get a chance to run the boat with the new hydro on the drive. How fast did you get it up to. I know that your Rage runs really well. I want to do the same build to my Heat. But money kinda got in the way for this year. It was ruff for alot of people. Maby next winter. LOVE THE WHIPPLE!!!!

I use Castrol Synthetic 5w 50 in the Whipple.
I still haven't had a chance to check the top speed on the boat yet. Seems like I always have a boat load of peeps. The best I have seen is 86 mph for just a short burst. I'm pretty sure it will break the 90 mark though.
Let me know if you need anymore info, happy to help.
