Fuel tank / Fuel Fill

Still haven't seen a heat in person but doing some research, it seems that the saddle fuel tanks are filled separately?

Are any models/years designed for a single fuel fill?

That's pretty darn inconvenient if they are separate...

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

There is talk that the 2010 Heats will be coming with a single center fuel tank. You are correct.. filling both sides is a little bit of a hassle at times.

How wide is the heat? or really, how far between are the filler caps? I will measure my local fuel dock hoses ;)

Ross,
Although I don't enjoy the fuel pump shuffle we have to do on our boats when filling them up at service stations, particularly when there's a lot of traffic buzzing around, I do still like these boats a lot. It's a minor inconvenience.
Dockside, I've never had to move the boat because the fuel lines are usually much longer to fill cruisers and houseboats.
Both fills on one side, or a single fill would be more convenient though. And, I think a belly tank might make the faster boats handle better with a lower center of gravity.
Regards,
Steve

I've become overall used to the minor inconvenience of the two-sided fill, but find that managing the fuel-burn from left to right side -- to maintain the best weight balance the best I can -- is the most inconvenient aspect of this.

My Flame has 3 fuel fills two on one side for that side tank and belly and one on the other side for that side tank. At the pump people look at me like I'm crazy when I fill the thing up!

I 've got a 2009 heat with a single tank, just ask Nordic, they can make it.
You will not get a storrage locker in the floor, but there will be lot's of storrage place where normally the tanks are....
