2010 Thor Open Bow

So I have been kicking and kicking the idea of a new boat.. You all seen my 22 sprint with the 525 dont get me wrong the boat has been great. But now I think im ready to take the leap for the thor open bow, im thinking of pulling the 525 out from the sprint and buying just the hull fully rigged less eng and out drive.. Has anyone been in this boat yet??? I kept getting pix of the 2 they had almost put a deposit on the blue one they had... Let me know what u guys think of this boat or should I just keep what I got and finish building my buggy (help lol)

Tim OCM lets talk some numbers (cash deal))

Its not the same hull as the closed bow. I think it has a very similar bottom to the elimnator hull. Not as fast as the closed bow but more stable in the turns. You will be disapointed with a 525 motor way to weak for that boat. My boat had one in it new and was a weak ***** thats why I had to get rid of it and install a 598 700hp motor, much better. It is for sale if you are interested.

John is right! Not as fast as the closed bow,but i really like this boat. Tons of room and layed out very nice. I drove the green and white openbow with merc racing 525. Its was loaded with fuel, cooler, and three of us on board. (83 mph in Havasu) It did take alittle work to get the number, but i do not beleave it was propped right.
Please call if you have anymore questions!

That would be my boat (525 add whipple) if I had the $$. Checked out the first @ LA year ago, was this orange one. Only had a 496, but thought it's best of all worlds. Deckboat room, without the minivan look & I assume a bit faster than my V-hull with same power. Bet that windtunnel walk through thing is annoying though!
I really like what Advantage did with their open bow cat, side tunnel instead of walk-through.

Its still very up in the air I really want the boat but dont want to spend the high dollar esp if I buy it with no motor and drive... I was still quoted 80k less eng and drive I think that is way to much concidersing the deals I have seen, but I freaking love the look of this boat I want to pull the trigger but cant justify the price...
