Nordics have been putting on a good show at the local poker runs. I hear from a reliable source (my crew
), that Nordics (2 Heats and 1 Thor) were 3 of the first 4 boats to the first stop in Knoxville.
A Nordic was the first vee bottom and single engine boat to the first stop in Nashville. We did get outrun in the last 1/2 mile by a 2400HP, megabuck MTI. There was the usual crowd of Heats and Flames (Bubba, Gary, Jeff, Scott, Brian, etc) hot on our swim platform
..........yes I took some shortcuts through muddy water. Navigation skills are supposed to be a part of these of these events aren't they
?
Thanks to my friend Eric Betty for building me a motor and drive that finshed 3 poker runs this year. That's a first
.
I hope you guys are all having a great summer.
Best Regards,
Steve

Great times in Nashville area from the sounds of it. Congrats Steve.
On the Shootout topic -- I'm toying with the idea of a Cannonball run from Austin for the event. I'd be boatless, which would be unfortunate, but I don't think I could live with myself if I miss this event again this year. Anyone here watch this from land from the new venue Capt. Ron's? Worth it?
Definitely would be nice to meet up with y'all up there.

Hey Dave, you provide us a place to stay and I'll bring a boat
Of course it might delay getting your boat fixed by a day or 2. LOL. Actually I hope to get your boat done next week if things go as planned.
