Default New Rage Owner

Bought this rage at the end of June.. Put over 50 hrs on it as of last weekend. Has 496 HO only gripe is it has a 24 four blade prop on it... I think I need to step up to 26. I could easily hit the rev limiter I just choose not too.. The only other thing I am experiencing is the boat lunges around 3k-4500 rpm range. It is just a quick lunge and rpm's will jump back and forth about 100-200 rpm... I am hoping that it is just a dirty fuel filter.. That is where I am going to start anyhow..

Congratulations Justdreamin' on your new Rage.
Pretty boat. Let me guess, from the background you were boating on Lake Cumberland? We get up there every now and then.
Regarding your surge, that does sound like a fuel problem.
Welcome to the Nordic forum and Nordic Navy.
Regards,
Steve

Change the spin on water/fuel separator as well as the fuel boost pump inlet screen. My boat has 600+ hours on it, and there was STILL sh!t partially clogging the screen when I checked it a few weeks ago on my 496HO.
