I was wondering if a guy left his key on in the run position with the engine off does the ECM computer trip hrs also? I know the hr meter does.

I dont think the engine does. It needs to be running.

I do believe there is an actual log within the ECM. Not sure which type of reader you need to get that info though. Maybe try Bob @ Full Throttle Marine, I am sure he knows.

No it does not.....ecm only records running hours.
