have a 01 heat just repowered to a 509, 650+ motor. The boat has a brovo 1 with a 1 in spacer but thinking a new drive is in order any suggestions

az, an XR drive should hold up well behind your new motor.

I would recommend either a Bravo XR or IMCO SC drive.

to change to a bravo xr does the gimbal have to change also or just new trans and lower, I dont know much about the drives

nope, the xr will bolt right up. there is an HP transom assembly but i would suggest putting $ towards external steering if you don't already have it. (that's what i did)
