I have a 04 Heat with factory trailer and would like to change the bunk carpet in my garage, challenge is it’s -10 and our lake will be frozen until probably May… Has anybody jacked or lifted one side or back with floor jack or heavy duty engine hoist?? Any pointers or advice would be appreciated….Or do I just need to be patient…our boating season is 3-4 months so I try and have all maintenance done in the off season.

They make old school jack stands you can put a peace of carpet on and jack the boat up off the trailer. Might could rent them or something. they look like

I have jacked up my Pachanga using a piece of 4x4 notched to match the V-angle of the hull. Piece of carpet between and a floor jack made for easy jacking.

Do you think the Heat could be lifted with a floor jack from just that one point?

Jack the whole trailer up the the air about 6 inches; at 3 points: tongue jack, and back two corners.

Place concrete blocks under keel and back two corners; topped with a pieces of 2x6 big enough to cover the blocks.

Lower the trailer away from the boat.

Wow I really over thought that one, I was ready to weld up a gantry or rent a sling and forklift etc etc.
In my defense (Excuse) this is my first bunk style trailer.

I would definitely use Sydwayz's method The Pachanga was a much smaller and lighter boat and I only needed the bum off the trailer. Good luck man!

man, when I did mine I had a overhead a-frame and was able to put it on a boat dolly.

I am goign to redo mine this year as well. but i am just going to launch the boat, and work on it in the parking lot for a few hours, and then go boating
