Dad and I just picked up a new Rage walk through with 520. Boat came with a Bravo 1 26. Ran 78 @ 5250 rpm. Put on a 29 bravo 1 FS runs 80 @ 5050 rpm. We only have premium fuel so the engine is not running at optimum. The transom was black after 1.5 hours. I will get Dustin to tune for 91 in the spring. Hopefully it will run a solid 82-83 mph. Boat is rock solid at 80 with dual ram.
We tried a Hill lab finished M+ 25 and the boat ran the same speed as stock B1 26 at same rpm. The interesting part was the M+ did not blow out or cavitate at any speed or point during testing. This leads me to believe that the prop shaft could come up. Anyone used the new Bravo 1 SPORT lower? It is 2” shorter then standard and still has the dual water pickups. Or I combine the bravo 1 sport with a ITS or a stellings box. Thanks
