35Flame,
Regarding your rattles, do you have a refig? If so, the rattle maybe the basket inside the refrig. We placed a towel between the bottom of the basket and the refrig and that helped alot.

Thumbs up

Other than the folded down bimini which doesn't count,
our only rattle is the panel on the passenger side of the
dash. If I had the time I'm sure I could cure it, I've never
even asked Nordic to try to. It's just not that big of a deal.

I kinda didn't care after I rode in a couple of other noted
brands of performance boats and noticed that they had
rattles too.

We're on our 3rd season, over 250 hours, and quite happy
with the boat.

By the way, I've quit posting and participating in message boards
so don't tell anyone you saw me post here.

P.S. Look for our boat in the Catalina Ski Race

Jerry,
That panel you are referring to is fastened with silicon. I was told with care you can remove it and re-fasten it. I believe the rattle you hear is between the panel and the side piece. As a test take a piece of paper fold it and slide it between the panel and the side piece. If it stops you can cure it by removing the panel and when you replace it add a little silicon between the panel and the side piece. Problem solved.

I had Nordic leave ours out as I had other plans but changed my mind. Before I mounted the panel I would just lay it in there and hold it with tape and it rattle against the side. When I glued it in with silicon I made sure there was a little on that side and it doesn't rattle.

Hey Pesky...long time no post...don't be a stranger here

Boatinbill...you're right on the single engine 500s. In my 28 it's not that much faster, maybe 2 mph, but a whole lot of $$ for that 2mph. Better engine than the 496HO, but for my purposes, it works well. If I were to do it over again, I'd go to a 540 and bypass the 500.

Hey, where you guys been? The Shockwave guys are trying to take over my site..help!!

I have a 28' Heat and love it. You will love the 35' Flame. Been inside yet, even better. RVW's is one of the best I have seen.

Good luck in your quest. there are a few Nordic people over on the RRX board too, if you care to visit.

nitro/max...67.something - GPS. I've been messing around with different prop combinations. I put on a 26 lab and ran 65.5 the other day (the only day it hasn't rained in this stupid part of the country ) I had a stock 24 re-pitched to a 25 and labbed and I'll let you know those speeds this weekend. The 67 was with a stock 24. The boat will be for sale soon if anybody is interested.

Nitro...it might be sold already The strange thing is that I never formally listed it. Word gets around quick I guess. I'll let you know if the deal doesn't go through.

All I can say is What a crappy summer this is going to be

Hey boatinbill, sorry so long to respond, busy workin & boatin. I added to a post " Nordic quality" some time ago if your interested. Hey rv, thanks for the tip on the refer, removed the basket for a trial and it helped. Maybe its just the harshness of Tahoes 2 to 4 foot whitecaps, really sharp and close together. Was in a 37 outerlimits the other day and the dash rattled some in it to. My overhead fiberglass in the cabin, Glass around the refer, and that cover over the electric door track seem to make the most noise although its hard to tell. Dont know what to do about it. Maybe Im "rattlephobic". I agree with the re fastening of the nordic panel in front of the passenger seat. Mine could use some more adhesive. Season here is in full swing, boat is on its buoy and running great. Oh yea, the drive oil in one of the lube bottles started moving up and down as it heated and cooled. Turned out to be a hairline crack in the top edge of the bottle. The cap on the bottles only let air in, not out. Bend over though, gave 69 dollars for a new bottle at my merc dealer. Be safe and happy boatin!!!
