Never been that far north (by boat) before I am guessing I would have to run outside after Barnegat inlet?

You could run (North) inside until Point but then it's an outside run the rest of the way. I think its about 25-30 Miles.

Yes, there is fuel in the area. Panther probably knows the specific names of the stations and Octane they have and I'm sure he will post the info when he reads this. You should leave with a full tank when you head out and fill up before you leave Sandy Hook. Dont try to do it on one tank, things happen, better to be safe than sorry.

If you need 93 Navisink marina is the only place about 2 miles up river, for 89 there are 2 places within eye sight of the island.

You could feasibly do it on one tank but it would be just as easy to fill up before heading home. Last weekend I went down to Barnegat Inlet via the ocean, went to Shore Dreams in Seaside, went for a ride in the bay with the kids and came home, it was about 3/4 tank of fuel for me (220 gallon tank).

There is a fuel dock at Twin Lights Marina and it's directly across from the island and adjacent to Windansea restaurant, they have 89. There are two other fuel docks about 1000 ft. south of that (Schups and Bhars Landing), both have 89. If you need 93 you'l have to go up the river to our marina. We're the only marina in the area with 93 and have a lot of performance boats.

As a point of reference... When you come up the ocean you'll see some large bouy's for Sandy Hook Channel. It's a large channel (tankers use it), go around the hook, keep the navy pier to your right. Once you start heading south, look for a large building on top of the hill, you can see it for miles away... Head for the building and that will bring you right into the channel, from there the island is to the east.

If you're comming send me a PM and I'll shoot you my cell number and I'll help you get in when you arrive.

Frank

Once in a while usually stay south go to AC alot.Think I have seen you a couple of times.Do you have a freind named Derrick who goes out in your boat sometimes.
If you are going to this party do you want to run up together I keep my boat on my lift in Beach Haven we could leave from there.

Beach Haven is an awesome city! A few years ago my wife and I took the boat down for a nice 4 day weekend. Slept on the boat in the marina, rode bikes around town and went to the beach every day. Fantasy Island area at night and all the good restaurants in between.

As a matter of fact, since my wife is pregnant we were just talking tonight about how we probably won't be able to make that trip by ourselves again, instead we'll have our kid(s).

I love it there we actually live on the other side of the bay a little inland but I would rather keep the boat on the island. The kids keep bikes at the marina the have a blast. Was at another marina (in and out) near fantasy island last year but moved to were I am now because they let me put a lift in.Right now there is only two boats on lifts maybe we will have "d-dock south "in a couple of years
