Default Lake George Ice Out....

Anyone know the condition of the Lake George ice? Lots of very warm days up there lately. It is starting to look kind of dicey. This is early, usually mid-April is the normal ice out time. I'll post anything I learn/know.

I am hoping it stays locked in for a couple more weeks at least.

That large gap between the shore and the ice is forming in places.

This is what I worry about........1973. It seems the later the ice goes ice, the less chance of damage.

Get a junk boat tie it up and keep in gear at the dock it will push the ice islands away and the wash behind boat will help break it up. Ride back and forth in front of your dock the wake will really break it up. My freind stay on his docks for a copule of days doing ice out so his marina docks don't get wrecked by the ice islands
