Looking to put the CAT in for the first time here. Anyone doing anything on the Delaware River anytime soon? I might try for this weekend at the Croyden Ramp. If the weather lightens up a little. Trying a different prop.

Not exactly Philly area, but a short boat ride from Delaware City ramp. If you are ever planning on making a run down to the canal, or anywhere in the area for that matter, send me a PM and I'll buy you a beer at the Inn.

Yeah, I have the fountain parked around the corner from you. Cool looking boat, would love to see it in the water. I won't be in for a few weeks yet. Getting some motor work done. I'll look for you you at the club.
BTW, what did you do with the scarab, that was a beautiful old school boat. I was suprised to see it gutted.
Good luck with the cat. Howard.

Hey Howard,
You mean that hugh Fountain that was behind my Scarab? Word has it that you stole it from some poor widow after finding it in her barn? LOL, nice boat. Did it come with that new triple trailer too,LOL. Good luck. Seems like the class of boats in the club are picking up. As for the Scarab, after the drives where stolen from in front of my house I was devestated. It was almost finished except for paint. During the fight with the insurance co. I came across this CAT. So I bought it without power with the insurance and parted out the Scarab. I tried to sell it whole but no takers. It was winter. I made out better parting it out anyway but it broke my heart. Much to my disbelief I sold every last part from it includind the hull BARE AZZ. I couldn't believe it! I didn't make it in this week end so looking for next. Hey where are you going to put that monster in at? If you need a hand give me a call. My number is in the club book. I look forward to seeing you out there. Bill Redmond

Bill, that is shocking. I am sorry to hear about the theft. The boat was beautiful and those drives were impressive looking. Very sad to hear but given the situation you did the right thing parting out the boat. Yeah I own the aircraft carrier. Getting new power and hope to be out this summer, maybe June. I keep missing you at the club, I think its funny. I had the Formula parked next to the Scarab. When I would come down, the boat is there, then when I come back... gone. Alway thought it was funny. Well, hope to run into you one of these days. Thanks for the offer helping me launch. I might have to take you up on that. See you at the club.

I do believe it is a Hydra Teck Cat. As far as I know the boat was bought new by Wherlen Bros Marina out of brick NJ who now owns Kurts Performance Marine. I purchased it from them last year without power and had them put in the engines from a Scarab I had. As for Howard, I have not met him yet personally, he is a member of Quaker City Yahct Club as I am. He just bought a monster of a Fountain. I didn't get a chance to splash it in last week but hopefully this Sunday. Trying a few sets of props. Fingers crossed.
