I've ridden/had them all. 800s are still my favorite. You can't beat their power-to-weight ratio for aggressive trail riding. I put about 1500 miles on a 1200X last year, it's an awesome sled but a little heavier and slower on the top end than an 800. If the 1200 was turboed and making 300HP, I'd make the permanent switch.
Speaking of...Frank you mentioned earlier that you never keep any toys longer than 2 years. That shiny yellow sled is a 2008... this is Model Year 2010...i'll have to verify by calculator but i think thats 2.

Kevin you need to get on this as well!!! What are you gonna be doing while we are all in VT. having a big time. Craig we need to find Kevin a sled to. Okay so far on the board we Sammy,JBoutlaw,Rolie,CRaig and myself. I am telling you Jay and Kev it is as much fun the only difference is the water is frozen and there are more bars. Oh yeah and the machines are faster and only hold 10 gallons of gas!

Can't blame you for going for paint first. Turbo 1200 would be cool, we'll see.
In boats we go from CT to LI or RI...On sleds we go from VT to Quebec to Maine to New Brunswick to Ontario back to VT. We're lucky to go 80 miles in a day in the boats, I rarely go less than 300 a day on sleds....and it's always an adventure. A lot of those "can't describe it unless you were there" situations. good times.

Now we're talkin! It would be cool to find a fun group of guys who can ride sleds like we drive boats. So far I've found 2...ever.
