nice, any info on sleeds? pics?
i ride an 05 800 power tek rev. all done up (backlake stock) goes pretty good for a trail sled. i run 82-84 ish on grass 500 feet. and i think it was 660 on ice i did last year at rangely and it ran 92 ish. so for a doo she goes good. i got my girl a new 07 blizzard 600 sdi. put a pipe and clutch kit on it. it runs well also, perfect sled for her. anyone run in rangely or back lake? couple pics. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/P1010007.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/P1010010.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/P1010046.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/P1010023.jpg |

I ride sleds ( SKI-DOO ) but it's still boating season for a few more weeks .I was out today 70 and probally again tommorrow 73 and great fall foliage.
Check out this thing...not mine but I thought it was pretty cool. |
I am up in that area. I have a place in Naples. Good trail riding out my way with lots of places to stop and have a bite to eat. Nice to be able to ride out of the house. I got a 4 place V-nose this year thinking I was going to take some trips but did not finish the driveway project so I am going to have to burry it in the snow I am guessing. I have a 03 zr 900 and a 04 ZR 800 efi. The 900 lost at leaste a piston last year and I have to get over and pull that apart. Maybe this or next weekend I will get to that.
|
live, yea last week in the 40's or colder made me jump on winterizing the boat, now this week 70. lol you are all welcome. if i kept the boat out it would still be 40. now that the sleds out. no more snow. lol
audiofn, sounds good. i take it your place is right on a trail? what trail? i forget is it its84 that runs down that way? |

I have been working on my sleds for the past few weeks. Got new Fox Float shotcks for teh front end and a ceramic coating on my pipe and can(05 F6 EFI Retro). I go by "Peter King 28" on hardcoresledder. This sled also has a bikeman pipe mod, ODS clutch kit, sno pro rear springs, C&A pro six with 6" shaper bars, 153 megabites, rox adjustable handlebar riser, tether, hood screens, handguards, flyscreen, headlight covers, etc...the list goes on.
|
In case anyone missed it there is a thread going on under the " Poker Run " forum about trying to get a sled poker run for boaters going. Sounds like a great idea.
|
Hey Kev
I'll probably be up for that run, and the one in Sacondaga that Chris is talking about also sounds good. You missed a good run on the river, what happened? Gladhe8er That F6 looks sweet |

Hey I had to take a closer look at your pic, at first glance I thought you had a real tolerant wife to let you keep your sled in the kitchen. |

Noyzee I think it is ITS 89? I can ride out of my house that is why I like it so much. trailering is OK if you have to but it is SO much better to ride out of your house and get home to a place you know....
|
Lets hope it was like last year with a lot of cold before the snow. The lakes were nice last year.

NY POWERBOAT INC has been talking about this one. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/p...ny-winter.html Chris EvilTwin has mentioned doing one around Sacondaga. He put on a couple great Boat runs and The Lanzis’ who own a couple bar/restaurants were very hospitable along with all the other establishments around the lake. Also the local Authorities in Sacondaga were beyond helpful to everyone. On the second page of the above post he wrote this. “I would be in. I would have a bunch of guys. On a side note, I plan on doing a Snowmobile poker run on Sacandaga this winter. Probably around late January. Would others be interested in this? Carguy, Chuck, Nolan, etc....” |
Actually there is a poker run n every weekend on Sacandaa but it is pretty lame. Chris has connectios at the local establishments to make it much better and attract a better/bigger crowd. Its a 40 minute ride to his place from my camp in LG, so I'm there!

i should be grass dragin in a week or 2. if anyone is interested we run a feild in lisbon maine, its 500 foot fun runs. a farmer lets us run in his feild, there is a very narrow stream about 6" deep you run back on to cool the sleds. its a ball!!!! i have a radar gun as well so we do some testing etc. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/IMG_3492.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/IMG_3486.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/P1010029.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/P1010024.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/P1010003.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8/P1010002.jpg |

Yes, I am going to put a run on this winter. I figure we should get a huge turn out if the weather cooperates. Keep it simple, but the after parties up here in the winter can be pretty wild. I will workout a weekend ( don't want to conflict with Nolans run). Get the info to you guys as soon as I can.
Chris Czub I'll keep my eyes open for this one. I'm in probably with a bunch of guys from the Hudson area. |
Just got a 06 Rev 1000 at auction yesterday. Should be a fun ride. Going to put my ZR 800 and 900 up for sale and see what one sells first.

my buddy knows a ton about the 1,000 he has a few that run like the wind with not much work. clutching, gear, boondockers. put twin pipes on it and hold on. stock they go ok, but need a bit of love from the speed bug. let me know if you want anything done, me and him can do it on the side and save you a few bucks, or i can fill you in what to change, i have all the clutching tools you need. let me know if i can help. also have the race manual for 2006, i will see if the mach is in there incase you need any info. |
Sounds good. I think this one was worked over a bit. It is HEAVILY picked (row of 4 then 2 then 4......) and when the clutch enguages it comes on hard. It has some CBR stickers so who knows what they may or may not have done. I am trying to figure out how to get them off the windsheild with out messing up the plastic.

To much weight in the track if you add to many you get all that rotational mass and you have to replace the track more often, plus off the line in the snow is slower from what I have experienced. We will see with this sled. Never liked to hold it to the bar for a long time on a sled with lots of picks in it.
