All I can say is, it took a lot of practice !
Knowing when to pull the trigger is key !
Having the knowledge of how boats react, I feel gives me an edge on shooting boats. I can predict most of the time what will happen. I just need to have the lens focused on the right spot at the right time which that in itself is pure luck...

I am floored at the quality of these pictures you took. It was real snotty. We were airborn most of that run in.

No doubt! There was 650+ images I downloaded from Dee's card Saturday night and going thru that was pain staking. Not my cup of tea.... I didn't bother to crop, touch or tune but it's a good thing we have digital camera's these days!
