Ok heres my boating history.

I grew up on a welcraft nova. My dad loved that boat.
It was a hell of a boat for the size.

we kept it at cedar island marina and 2 slips down was a guy named george who had a bad ass formula in maroon and white. always had 19 year old hotties on it with him and he was probably 50 which seemed ancient at the time.LOL

BUT my favorite boat in the world at the the time used to pull in and fuel up all the time and I still have picture of me standing on the hull somewhere.

The manhattan express.

YES a cigarette.

Later in college my buddy KIKO bought the seaducer sutphen from BOZ coffin which was previously owned by Ben sisti.
We had a blast on that boat for about 10 years or so.

It then sat for a few years un winterized.

Then my brother bought it and I helped him resurect it only to have it break free from its mooring in a storm and get totalled on the sea wall in old lyme.

We fought it all night with a 200 FT repelling rope attached to the hull to pull it free 3 men in the water all night long to no avail.

I have the horrible pics somewhere of it sitting in the rocks holes ground into its hull (at least 12 hrs of grinding) and pounding on those rocks and didnt break apart.
thats what SOLD me on sutphens.
we couldnt believe how strong that hull was and the beating it took.
It was like losing a family member.

I was probably 19 or 20 when Kiks got that boat and I was 35 when it went down so I had alllot of history in that hull.

I had a 20 a 26 and now the 31 sutphen after that boat.
PS there was a bayliner in there somewhere but we dont talk about that incident.LOL

My brother has a 32 fountain fever now with twin 502 's that we are VERY impressed with since we heard all the bad press on the stepped hulls before he bought it but that boat has been rock solid and very stable.

Hey 30 Sutphen do you remember the Sutphen AIRTIME he used to keep it over at the Clinton Town Dock. I used to Rack Store my Donzi at Harborside Marine and see AIRTIME fire up and head out it was a sick Sutphen loud and fast. Also a guy down the road from me in Clinton had the 20' Sutphen rigged with twin Merc outboards. I also loved how that handled the water.

This is the boat I was talking about I think I called it Catchin Air, but once I read your post that little dim light in my head flickered....Air Time that's it. I also had a chance to check out "Comprinize" yeaterday down in Saybrook. Boat looks good. Is this where you are keeping it?

yes thats where I keep her.

Greg is a great guy and keeps a good watchful eye on things.

I'm glad you liked it. I cant wait to get her back out on the water. Now all I need is gas money those 300X's are thristy little devils.

How much fuel do you guys use from OS to claudios and back?

I dont remember the air time boat. There is a 26 sutphen called airtime that dave911 owned thats now in california, was in arizona before.

I think dave lived here in CT at one time but I dont think he had the boat here.
