I only read a little of frankys rant, but I will add that MY brothers 32 fountain fever with 502's has very much impressed me. Really solid boat that runs well in most water for a 32.

Its a step and a fountain, but Its a bad azz boat especially for the money. I also really like John Boys Baja the build quality of that boat looks really good from what I have seen of it, though I havent ever ridden in it just seen it during raft ups.

As for CIGS, I think they are a well built boat, for the most part I like them, if the owners were so Ph U Cking dedicated to saying they were the BE ALL END ALL of boating I would like them much better.

To me put a OL against a CIG ID go OL in a second

IN fact if I had to go buy a NEW performance boat and it couldnt be a sutphen. It would be a OL no doubt although the Circle Jerk thing is a little much....

for used (even new) boats a Sutphen is certainly the best bang for the BUCK IMO.

Though used fountains especially the bigger ones are a great deal too.

Cigs a good boat but too ,much paying for the name IMO

Jeff this is one of your better posts I must say. I agree with some of your even. But with that being said I certainly don't think Cig is the end all be all. I have repeatedly said I know they are not the fastest and they certainly are more expensive so there you go once again I am on a public forum saying where they fall short. Now let's here you boys do the same, no boat is the end all be all. When it comes to value, amenities, looks, speed I think IMO Active Thunder gets the most points. When it comes old school looks great racing heritage a great rough water ride and an entry point price wise into real offshore boating IMO Sutphen walks away with it. When it comes to engineering hull construction and materials and speed records as well as looks while being among the elite IMO Outerlimits takes the crown. When it comes to rigging, true offshore styling a family type of ownership and owning a brand that is iconic in offshore boating only to rivaled by the Harley Davidson as well as a good resale value this is where IMO Cigarette takes the trophy. Now not disparage other brands such as Fountain, Formula, Baja, Sonic etc. because these boats have always filled a niche and it why you see so many of them.

I will certainly give CIG the mraketing and resale value prize any day of the week. Don arnow was a Marketing Genius!!!

Cigs a good boat but HE made many people beleive it was the ONLY boat to own.

Very impressive branding with CIG, fountain too

Old Elvis sold the shi t out of that brand!
