I see the point on taxation but what many people dont see is that it took 100 years to get us in this mess!
everyone looks at the problem and expects it to be ixed in a 4 year term regaurdless of whos is in office. Its gonna take a long long time to dig out of this, credit was a major cause. When the government allows the credit reporting companies to put a black mark on your report for CLOSING a credit card account out you know things are bad. So some poor bastard who never learned about finance finally digs himself out, Tells his wife shes gotta stop spending and he cant cut up the cards and close out the account cause he'll be penalized for it. WTF is that!! Also we need to get rid of all these special credit products. There sould only be10 20 and 30 year fixed rates with 20% down and thats it! Anyone ever wonder why they dont teach finance in grammer middle and high school? They teach all kinds of other USELESS crap though. Spending will have to be cut but it wont be enough and it cant be done over night or it also will shock the economy into depression. The internet has killed the US economy make no mistake about it. People suddenly could buy products direct and buy them from other parts of the world where $3.00 is a days pay. This had to F up our UNION based workforce. It will now have to balance out and that will take allot of time. |
F The Union!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cut Their Bs Pension And Crazy Wages And We Will Be Ok

I work at a large aerospace firm in CT. The Union STOPPED PRODUCTION for a month and was staging rallies around the campus daily before the contract vote. at the end the company gave them 3k sign on bonus and 3.5% the 1st year and 2.5% for year 2-3. with a very small ins increase and promised to find jobs for everyone that would be affected by plant closeures. NOW, If your kid drew a picture on your living room wall with crayons would you REWARD the child with a new box of crayons??? That's basically what they did. Meanwhile non union workers recieved another furlough week and salary compression. Its a f'ed up State of affairs.

Yeah unions were at one point in time a great thing and needed. However they are GREEDY to no end these days.
The good thing is MAYBE they can be useful again. as foreign workers get americanized they may look at US unions and copy them. This would push wages up overseas and level the playing field faster than without them. I have heard that India already has unions starting up. Its going to be a roygh road no matter what especially when all the baby boomers start to slip into homes and theres a surplus of housing in the US like weve never seen before. Thats gonna add to an already bad housing nightmare. Imigrants may be the saving grace to this country as it has been in the past. |
