It flies extremely level in the air which is a big change from the Cafe. The only thing I am not used to besides the nose when docking is the feel of the props coming in and out. I am not sure if it is because of the notched transom or if the x dimension is higher. So far the more seat time I get the better it feels and the more I love it.

you can definately hear that thing barking in the the video you posted. Mine does that too if I have the bracket up where it likes it but then loads and unloads, Its still faster that way but its hard on parts so I sink the bracket more now Id rather give up a little top end and have it live.

Where do you have it trimmed (drive placement) while your barking like that?

It's trimmed to 3-31/2. It does not do it in flat or choppy water either. It was just in the rollers. The cafe carried the nose really high and no notch in the transom so the back end never skipped it was either in or out. I will play around with it I didnt notice it as much until I saw the clip. The thing sounds so sweet after 4,000 all you here are those blowers spooling up. I still have 400 rpms left. But for know I am not gonna kill it so it's not crazy expensive to do the freshen ups in the fall.

I guess none of that comes as any surprise. I suspect the x is considerably higher than on your old boat and probably accounts for most of the difference when it comes in and out of the water.

I can only watch it on my iphone at the momment, but it looks and sounds really good to me. Although, with the ****ty sound quality on my phone, I cant really hear the 'barking' in question.

It might just be that you're not all that use to being in the open water rollers. I know they throw me off as we typically deal with a lot more chop and confused water inside LIS. Either way, from what I can tell it doesn't sound like you're really surfacing the props all that hard in the video, but again it's probably hard to tell watching it on the cell phone.

That new rig of yours is a pretty big step up, so it will no doubt take some seat time to get use to it (same here too)... but it looks as though you're definitely getting there!

Sounds like Magoo and Tigger may be set up very similar. When we ( Magoo and Moby) went out early in the season, I could hear his engines barking while riding next to him, with a 1 foot chop or so. Jeffs advantage is he can just lower his hydraulic jack plate and problem solved. Maybe Jeff will take you out in Magoo so you could watch him handle a boat set up like you two have? Just my .02 :party-smiley-004:

Now that I think of it a boat that has a setup more similar to Magoo would be this porpising vessel watch the video at 1:45 and hang on.

I dont know Kev, it seems we are always comparing everything to Magoo and Jeff is constantly comparing Magoo to everything else (and proving to us how it's better)... so it would seem Magoo is the benchmark all other offshore boats should be compared to... :bigbird:

LOL, too funny!!!

I'm planning on taking the boat out on Sat. for a test run to see if everything is alright. Hopefully all is well, but I'm still very skeptical about the one sea pump. Eitherway, I'm not so sure it's wise to take it over to Block on Sunday until it's somewhat proven. If you or Frank would like to provide the ride over to Block for Sunday, that sounds wonderful... ;)

What Jay Fan is going too? My father in law is going for surgery Friday so my weekend plans are tough, but who knows. My biggest problem is the place to leave my boat. Place will be packed. Oh well if not this time we will have to plan it again for the future!

Wow.....a lot going on here today. Very funny stuff.....! :lolhit:

A buddy of mine wants to go over Friday/Saturday but I'm not seeing it. Jen called both Champlins and Paynes, and Paynes doesn't take resevations, and Champlins has a "3 night minimum stay" they said. Plus....too many drunk morons over there on the 4th for me. I'll do it any other weekend.......

We'll be out and about all weekend.......just not sure where! (We may just go to Greenport Friday and stay over). :drink:

Honestly given the crew that's going and knowing what's being planned (beach and bars), it seems a lot easier / safer to just take the ferry (sorry Kev)... especially given the crowds, federalies, my future BAC, other drunks/boats, plans, and the logistics of dealing with the boat.

As soon as I know my boat is all set, I'm 100% up for a trip back over there on a less crowded day, but I dont know that it makes much sense for this Sunday.

BTW, another great avatar Frank! :drink:

Is it going for a swim today Mike??????

BTW, if you confirm you're not getting any output from those alternators (probably not connected correctly), electrically disconnect them for the test run today so you dont potentially cause some damage, then go back and find the problem...
