Yes its a great day on the water, in the 2010 run you soaked my dinghy in the run. We had to flip it over on that sandbar in front on celden creek on the south side.
You ride with (Smitty)? I will not comment on his work....

haha whats wrong with smitty's work?

Jeff,
I'll just sadly have to accept the fact that I'll never be as cool as you are and move on. :(

Glad to hear you guys got the car out and had a productive afternoon. So what did you do with the lowers?

Nothing Yet, One needs at least one new bearing but Ill probably change them all to be safe and they both are getting an upgraded seal kit and vent kits.

Those sportmasters tend to heat up push out the oil and then cause vacuum when they cool pulling in seawater. The sportmasters all do it.

The vent kit and seal kit will cure the problem.

Did you guys take you Viper out?

I think Sick wants to meet the mean short chick!:evilb:

Aren't those engines almost new? With all the issues they've had with those sportmasters over the years, you'd think they would have addressed that at the factory by now...

I haven't taken the TT Viper out, probably wont until the roads get cleaned up, but I did fire up the red GTS and drove it up to the gas station. The neigbors love that one since it has no mufflers. Cops drove by within 10 minutes. :drink:

Regarding the wild boar, I dont think Mike has spurs nasty enough. Besides, I think she plays for the other team... I feel for the chic getting bent over by her! :D

BTW, Mike's GF (Christine) was disapointed he didn't call yesterday. She was looking forward to taking him to lunch. I was looking forward to getting her out of the house. :D

To make a long story short, he told me he would do a survey on my boat, I called and left him messages. He never got back to me. Then his buddy had an outboard for me I was going to buy, Smith said he would rig it for me, never heard back from him so I lost out on the outboard deal as well. Oh well I guess he was busy.

Dont take it personal, he is wicked busy. We are really good friends with him and receive the same treatment as you. As a result we do a lot of our work ourselves and he provides some input, tips, etc.

Remember he has 220 boats to potentially service just within Hays Haven let alone surrounding marinas and states. Between servicing, surveys, winterization, etc...He is just overwhelmed with stuff. I think Jamie puts priority on what he works and what he doesnt. Just my opinion though.

He is very knowledgable though. He often diagnoses problems on the first go around. He's been in the game for 20+ years. I dont want to defend him too much but he is a good guy.

Yeah merc has only had that issue for 15 years or more. Why wouldnt they include a freakin Vent on them by now???

Mike says hes in love W her, but hell settle for christine.LOL

Didnt he ever show up? Why no mufflers on the NON turbo Viper?

302Sport 03-15-2011 08:04 AM

Probably the same reason they keep bolting bravos on boats making more than 500 hp, because they know we'll be back in line to buy another within a couple of years. :lolhit:

I never heard from Mike. He called me originaly thinking I was you (gee, thanks Mike) wanting to know where you were... imagine that, you being late! I was hoping to hear from him later in the day, I could have sent Christine off with him for the day. It would have been nice for me to get her out of the house. She really likes him, she thinks he's cute, like that little talking hampster in Dr. Dolittle.

The other Viper is pretty much a hard core track car... full cage, fire supression system, Lexan front and back, etc. mufflers weight too much. :D I dont think I've ever been in a louder car. Even with ear plugs and a full face helmet, that thing makes my ears ring after only being out on the track for a half an hour!

When he left here he said he was on his way to your house!

I thought he was more like the roving gnome!
