Sorry Frank, just seeing this. We weren't doing a speed run when I was on the boat. We ran out to Boca Grand for the FPC island party with a group of boats since we weren't 100% sure where we were going. On the way back we were running with 5 people in the boat w/out vests on, decent size water and had a few drinks in us (at least I did anyway)...not really the ideal set-up for a speed run.

It's good to see they are finally getting to enjoy the boat.

Chris, you and Susan are always a pleasure to see, great time down there. Sorry I didn't make it back out Sunday, my body couldn't do it another night!

It was snotty the entire week, but for the most part boat ran flawless.

Boat ran fast, it's not a secret... haven't really stretched it out completely yet...All in all, very happy with the setup, it eats up the big water like nothing I've ever seen...as Chris knows, the acceleration is brutal..it'll throw you back in your seat...I wasn't going to push it as Chris said, we were running with a pack of 15 other boats (3-5ft Seas)..not one of us really knew where we were going! Great times and great to see you guys down there! Anchoring that SOB in a 15-20mph wind with current was a blast ha!

Playing with a few other things in setup...but it's very solid and cruises beautifully in the mid range.

Monday we ran back in 6-8ft Seas w/ Jo-el in his 52SV and a pack of about 20 other boats...running 65-80 not even pushing it and it kept saying "Give me more"...

Key West was a blast, everyone was a great time!

Yes, I do this with my father actually, WE do it together, I'm fortunate enough to enjoy it with him. I contribute plenty and it keeps us together. I hate to say it but for the first time in a while I agree with Pat here:daz: I would have no issue with boating with my father no matter how the deal is carved up. My father has never been on any of boats, never paid for gas, docking etc. But if tomorrow he offered to get involved I would be all over it. There is this negative thing around here "if your father bought the boat" and it effects 3 or 4 guys. Now first of all many people in here work hard and it is still hard to pay for or justify the cost. I am sure anyone would welcome a parent paying for part or the whole dam thing. The issue is when one of those people tell the rest what to buy or what they have sucks or this boat company is the best in every way everyday. That $hit get old in a hurry and I think those few have made all the negative thing come about. Now I am not saying I agree with all that Pat has done or been accused of but at some point take his apologies or don't but let's stop that carrying on. I think on some levels it's the competitiveness in all of us that brings all this crap to a boil. There was once a big group of guys excited about all these cool boats, now it's a pissing match at every turn. There is always someone faster, has more money, easier job, silver spoon, better opportunities, etc. I think one of the things that have bothered some is when anyone who boats with their father say " my boat" "mine" "I" opposed to we or ours, which Pat has done here. I know Adam and his dad do the boat thing together it's no secret so what! Nothing wrong with it. I think it is how some of these guys portray it to everyone. If they walk around like they have done it all on their own at an early age it comes off as arrogant. They are fortunate to be in their situation. The whole Obama era has created class warfare and I am so sick of it. When did it become a bad thing to be successful? Or to be born in to a family that is successful or has money. I see it with kids and the comments that come from their"friends". Okay that's my rant I am not saying you have to hang with these people or me for that fact but stop the hating.

I stuck no one with a tab, it was an accident, a mistake, (I hope you never make one godforbid) you make it out like it was some big premeditated thing. It wasn't...anyway, I said my peace, I'm kinda done with listening to it, you don't like me, you don't like me. Big deal...but don't portray me as the worst person in the world because I'm not...

I appreciate Mike standing up for what is right, and several others have all discussed past events, expressed their feeling of what has gone on. To be 100% honest I'm a little tired of being reminded of it. It's over it's done. I worked that week and paid the credit card tab I picked up. The wedding was paid for by me before a single person showed up. So ya know what it doesnt matter financially who showed, who stayed, who had a good time and who thought it sucked. My wife and I know what matters and that is all I care about. These things have happened to other members, and they have handled there situations in a day. Again people are who they are. I deal with who I choose to. If Mike chooses to continue to bring up the tab he paid ( thank you by the way I didnt get the bill at the end of the night) so be it, But anything to with my situations can be left out, it's a dead issue.
