Here ya go. Under your limit and even though it has Bravos, they're cheap to fix if anything goes wrong. Its a great big water boat and will run 90+ easily.
http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o34512-en.html The OL definately has more reliable power which the XRs may or may not live through. Dont know the speed on the Cig, but the SOB should run. 3A's are overpowered at 900 HP, but maybe a detune for reliablilty is in line. IMO, the Cig is a nicer lookin boat...in this case. Just my .02 http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o37242-en.html |

Well, seeing we seem to be selling Scot our favorite brands here, IMO, this would be a cheaper, faster, and better looking choice for Scot....plus, I dont think he wants Jeff sittin that close to him!

Easy to say but that will limit some to what they can get. For me it is the smart money buy. I write my boat off though my business( I do take clients out often). So I need to take the interest minus my deductions and beat that number with my investments. In the end I can buy more boat then I would if I paid cash, because like Scot is seeing I would never take $120k from my future and plunk it down on a depricating asset. My Cafe was paid off but I owed $9k on my home equity. So when it sold I paid that off. My guess is many have credit card debt that is staggering. Most CC debt is between 13-20% and no write offs. I have not had any credit card debt in 15 years. I pay that thing off every month. But like I said the boat I will not own for 20 years and won't pay this off, so for me and my situation this makes the most dollars and sense. At least I can point to the boat and say that is what I owe the money on and it still has a value. From what I see at work there are many with credit card bills that equal the price of a car and they can not tell me what it was all spent on. If boat loans where in the 9' this would never work for me nor would own the boat I do now, I would have gladly kept the Cafe. And for the record the only reason I bought the Tiger was because Scot told me too :drink:. Scot I know you can find something nice and cool for $50-$70K, but it will most likely be a bravo boat, but then again I don't see that as a bad thing.
I am a cheap PH uck so I pay everything off, the thought of interest makes me crazy. I understand what your saying about the write off, but Id rather have peice of mind knowing that in a bad economy ( remember I am in the building business and we get hit hard.) I can stay a float easily. |

i deleted my intitial comment..after reading it, definately didnt come across like i was thinking...i apologize. i am sure you run a honest business. i wasnt questioning its integrity at all...my main point was that i have several friends with companies (multi million dollar corps), that have difficulty writing off the simplest of items (company cars, lunch meetings, etc). so for you to write off your boat, seems odd to me.
i definatley do not think i am the authority on anything. when have i said that? i always say at the end of my posts that its just my opinion...so im not sure what you are referring to here. from What I know of Justin I dont think he would intentionally talk crap on a personal level, or try and start some thing. He is a good guy and I think it all just came across wrong although I didnt read the original post cause its deleted. Justin usually likes to keep the peace from my experience with him. PLUS WERE ALL BROTHERS HERE!:drink::kiss: |

I really like that CIG. It says the boat is in Michigan but there is a picture of it running next to "Spiderman". That boat is still in Rhode Island. I wonder if he is local now.

That boat looks very clean, but I would Imagine it would be high maintainance.
Scot how do you feel about carb Vs DFI? On a boat I like the DFI allot, on cars I can live without it but still prefer it. |

LOL, nice glasses! I love those movies. :drink:
http://www.cinecon.com/frontimages/1...terminator.jpg I have a few in mind. Getting really close. 1) The boat you and I have looked at. Still haven't dismissed that one. Needs work and bravo based. 2) Same size in a brand boy wonder would like. Might be over budget though. 3) A big cat. Dont think this one is going to come together though. Would have to do some rigging, which I'd prefer not to do. 4) A slightly smaller big cat. If the owner and I can get together on price, this might be the one. Roomy, but slow (for a cat) and older. 5) Same, but needs rigging. Amazing condition though. 6) Whatever might pop up tomorrow. BTW, that 36 Spectre in CA you contacted me about, the owner is stuck at $95k. It's not going to sell any time soon. |
I know of a smaller cat here in middletown if your interested in something alittle smaller. Wasnt sure how small you would go. Good price on this rig too. Boat is all done and reported to run 115 MPH....any interest? PM me if you are. Dont want to let the CAT out of the bag here. :party-smiley-004:
