Hey guys I know many of you have read the tragic story in the general discussion about 6 year old boy Blake Richardson who was killed in a boating accident recently. I think this is a great opportunity to have our club help out and do something meaningful. We can all burn thousands of dollars of fuel or buy hundreds of dollars of drinks at the bar, and now we can help this poor family. I made a donation to the paypal account listed but then started thinking maybe we can raise a couple of bucks and donate through the club. Jeff let me know your thoughts.

Frank

Frank you took the words right out of my mouth!

I was thinking about posting this very thing right now, My heart sank when I read that story. we were planning a EVENT soon anyway and I think this would be a noble cause for a donation, I am not sure how we can do it because normally we need to partner with another non profit, but I will look into the laws and how it can be done.

I think its a great Idea though, just needs to be hashed out.

On another note One of scots freinds kids passed away I just read about it in the forums too. We should see what the story is there as well. It would be good to be able to help someone really in need.

Thanks for the thoughts Jeff.

I really like the idea of helping in this way as a club. With that said... And I know this sounds distasteful (what else would you guys expect from me?), but I would like to suggest that we try to help in our own community if possible.
