I think my boat would have been even faster but there was sothing odd behind me pulling me back. Then I heard it, on the marine radio,Coast gaurd was letting people know, there was a barge running almost 70MPH on the sound, It was creating a vacuum and that was surely pulling everything from the Ct and LI shores towards it like black hole! Too bad it wasnt in front of me AT ALL that day or It would have been like a tail wind helping me go even faster!

but yes, what difference does it make, because I do well and am a big guy, suddenly I get comments like that? I don't make comments on other's significants....so why should I be a target...that's what I'm saying...I don't like being insulted like that nor do I like having it insinuated I'd be paying for it...as a matter a fact, the whole idea really irritates me, because you're insulting me, as well as my woman...it's not funny...nor do I feel it should be discussed on a boating forum...so lets hope I'm reading that comment wrong...

I understand what your getting at here Jeff....and I like the competitive attitude! But truth be told, I let you out front. :) I wanted to give you alittle ego boost! Hahaha. I let you out front of us so the "vacuum" would slow your boat down alittle! Mid 80's is too fast for that thing!......Plus theres no GPS proof to speak of!

Yes, I didn't take it that way. I'm sure it was, but even in fun, not really something I find amusing to be posted online especially since it's an attack at not only me but my better half.

What the coast guard didn't relay was the floating barge was indeed a Sutphen, the only thing that astounded all was the fact no Sutphen has ever run 70+mph...I think that was the most shocking part... ;)
