First day out!...Whos in???

Well, here we go again! Looks like its gonna be nice on Saturday. River is receding everyday. Outlaw33 is ready to test his rebuilds and I wanna be out there in case he has a problem. I know Jeff is ready for a boat run, anyone else? Not sure if Outlaw33 is going in the river or ocean yet, but it will be a day on the water either way. I say tow to OS and dump them in the in the ocean, but thats just me. I mean, Claudios needs us! :ernaehrung004:

SS930 04-25-2011 12:35 PM

I know the weather can change a lot between now and then so planning this time of year is tough, but last I checked the forecast appeared to be clear and mid 50's on the water... I dont know how busy Claudios would be?!?!

we wont be ready...the weather is limiting our ability to actually go out and work on the boat. everyday has had some form of precipitation. we'll see how this week goes weatherwise but so far it looks like thunderstorms everyday.

kreed 04-26-2011 07:42 AM

Jeff??? :party-smiley-004: Where are you?

30ctsutphen 04-26-2011 09:09 AM

kreed 04-26-2011 10:09 AM

WildThing47 04-26-2011 10:35 AM

I'll come down and say hello, as my engines are still out...

Someone needs to step up and buy my damn hull....

SS930 04-26-2011 10:41 AM

I wont be legal so I'm out too, otherwise I'd take you out with me Pat. Next time!

WildThing47 04-26-2011 10:47 AM

Take your time, remember, the river and sound is still full of ****, you're in a different ball park now buddy...whacking **** with heavy artillery is no longer an oops matter....it'll make a grown man cry at the damage... ;)

Yeah, sipping away at cocktails with Pat, and doing doughnuts with you in the DEP parking lot... I can see that would end real well. Might as well have Adam bring a backhoe for good measure! :lolhit:

30ctsutphen 04-26-2011 05:33 PM

Anyone checked weather yet? Is that the same day as mass run?

But we all know that Scot wouldn't be that lucky......and he'd end up like Adam! :party-smiley-004:

SS930 04-27-2011 06:54 AM

Speaking of which, I hope Adam made out okay in court yesterday... :(

kreed 04-27-2011 07:23 AM

Thats funny sh!t guys!....lookin forward to Saturdays trial run. Unfortunately, marine forcast says 1 foot or less! Daauum! Oh well, maybe Jeff will be able to get on top of um' and show off that poker run hull...just watch out for the Skater Jeff:eek:

SS930 04-27-2011 07:51 AM

Those are perfect 32a Skater conditions! That Skater and Jeff's Sutphen love those 2' or less conditions. You might have to bring everyone over to Plum Gut to even the odds Kevin. ;) If not, you could always hope for glass like conditions and watch the 'show'.

BTW, I know you mentioned it to me, but what does Johnboy's Baja have in it now?

30ctsutphen 04-27-2011 10:03 AM

1 foot or less is great for Kevs boat most of the time barges sit waiting in harbors tied to the dock waiting to be towed so its used to those conditions.

Kev do you have the $650 for fuel that barge is gonna burn on sat?

30ctsutphen 04-27-2011 10:04 AM

I have something I need to do on my boat before I can get out. Hope I can get it done before then, I have jobs lined up all week this week.

Its ok, with flat conditions, Im ok with watching the 'show' and I shouldnt beat it up yet anyway. Just gonna burn off old gas....Johnboy still has 502 CI but now with AFR alum heads, CMI exhaust, bigger cams, and remapped computers. Should make around.....mmmm....1101 HP each ;)

Make it happen Mr. CPBA president.....A few posts ago, you were "all set and ready to go!" What happened?, Did the windshield magnify the sun and melt your interior? The Mexican nightmare that it is????:lolhit: Or, we can call Sick and he'll french fry to your house and fix it for you....again:eek:

At least you're throwing it in Old Saybrook.....that'll save ya $100 bucks Kev! :lolhit:

Although towing that beast can't be too cheap either!!!!! :party-smiley-004: I hope the Kenworth is ready to roll Kev! What the hell are you towing "Moby Dick" with?????

Towing the whale with a 2500 Dodge Mega-cab with a Hemi. Not my first choice, but was 10K cheaper than a diesel. I dont have Scots money, so it will have to do! Hell, I could commit suicide jumping off Scots wallet. :evilb:

SS930 04-27-2011 12:36 PM

Joke all you want, that b!tch is really thin these days! Gotta sell some cars and a boat before I can eat anything other than bread and crackers!

Mine is a diesel, but it towed the 37 without too much effort. My engines, trans, drives and trailer are heavier, but your bare hull probably offsets that. The trans (torque converter) wasn't all that happy about it though coming out of the hole! Hopefully yours is a little better in this regard. Once the TC was locked, it was a dream... didnt even miss having DRW.

30ctsutphen 04-27-2011 09:15 PM

No my issue has nothing to do with the lowers, It has to do with my truck. I had a back brake dragging and was getting ht so I did a new caliper and rotor on that side but Snapped the bleeder on the other side so I am going to change that whole set up now too.

I thought I was all set with the boat too, but I forgot I need to put a shut off on the lines for the pump out, The water intake needs seals , so I am just going to shut it off!!

I need to charge the batteries and clean the connections too.
