We used to bring my daughter alot when it was just her but now that its both of them its a little harder to do.

I called Montauk Yacht Club about seeing how welcome a group of go-fast boats would be and to see if it would be possible for us to reserve a group of slips together. Nobody answered so I left a message for the dock master... I'll let you guys know more when I hear back from him.

I was planning on going over there for Memorial day weekend, but it's sounding like my buddy that does tuning will be coming up to stay with me that same weekend and he'll be bringing his dyno... which I need to use. So I might not be able to get away for the weekend. I'm hoping to get more info this week so I can make plans one way or another.

Other than that, I'm open to ideas!

Actually Brian he does automotive tuning. His dyno is an eddy current chassis dyno... I dont think it would help with your boat. I could ask him about tuning your boat though if you're interested... I assume it's carbed, correct?

Okay, I just got off the phone with the MYC. They have no problem with loud obnoxious performance boats and their A-hole owners... they said they have them all the time.

I also asked if it would be possible to get several slips together for Memorial day weekend, but wanted to know how many. I told him probably 3-5 or so but I'd have to confirm, he said at this point that shouldn't be a problem, but it will be if we wait too long to reserve.

Thinking of going over for Sat AM and coming back Sunday mid day... Need a boat count to reserve a group of slips.

With that said, who's in? I know my buddy Brendan will want to go. I'm in. Sounds like Frank's in. Who else?

Okay, between my hectic schedule and the uncertainty of what state my boat will be in by the end of the month (plus I think Frank and Pat might be questionable too), I'm reluctant to make reservations at this point... and if we wait it will be to late.

I'm thinking just staying local for the Memorial day weekend might be a better call at this point. A lot of new setups this year and running out to Montauk for the first outing might not make the most sense. Probably be a Hamburg Cove, Claudio's, etc weekend for me...
