Start your engines, head to the Lake!
It’s time for the 5th Annual Peter Makris Memorial Run on Lake Winnipesaukee—June 12, the official kickoff for the 88th Laconia Motorcycle Week! We’ve ordered blue skies and sunshine so come ready for FUN!
All you New England boaters know that the NASWA Resort is “Where Bikers Meet Boaters” and that the NAZBar Beach Bar will be party-central all week for motorheads on land and lake! But, THE party you don’t want to miss will be Saturday, June 12 when boats and bikes meet at the NASWA for a bountiful breakfast buffet, take a morning spin around the Lake, returning for another fabulous BBQ buffet lunch and an all-day party!
Live music with the Tore Down House, raffles, auctions, drink promotions, hot women and cold beer—all to benefit the Laconia Fire Department Water Rescue Fund and the Easter Seals NH “Veterans Count” program.
We’ll be looking for Buddy Thomas and Pat Santamaria in their Outerlimits, (Buddy’s got a new, red, 47 GTX we’ll get to see there!) Daren Kitteredge in his Cigarette, and there are always an assortment of Fountains, Formulas and lake boats of all brands. We never know who’s coming by boat or bike, but all are welcome to join in the fun!
Register NOW! www.naswa.com or 888-55-NASWA. $40 in advance (before May 31) includes your meals, dock space, T-shirt and chip for a beer “on Peter.” $50 day of event, $60 gets you up front dock space. We’ll see you there!

i usually go the following weekend for bike week, but maybe i will shoot up this weekend too. i will just steal my dads boat (26 outlaw) as it is already on the lake on his dock so its easy for me.
he is about 1/8 mile by bike or boat from naswa so its an easy trip for us.
might have to make the trip.
as for the speed lim and boat lic, yes and yes but i was told law enforcement was pretty good last year and didnt beat up on many people for sound or speed as long as it wasnt in a stupid area.
and the lic, if you have completed a coast guard approved safty course you do not have to have a nh state license (i have my CC safty lic and boating permit and have used it 10 times up there, the cops love me LOL)

Don't let the speed limit stop you from coming up to the lake, if it does than the S.L. supporters win again, they want all performance boats off the lake. So come on up, practice good judgement, you'll be fine. Hello Bear Islander, what did you pick for a screen name over her on O.S.O. or are you just a lurker?
