If you guys didnt want to take your boats over you could just walk over on that land bridge Kev calls a boat!

Seriously its a shhhhh iiitttttt show on holiday weekends. Thats what makes it so great!

As for the value of the club as Scot has so kindly pointed out, for $35.00 it has absolutely no value at all. Is completely worthless and you shouldn't waste your hard earned $35.00 on it or the decal or T shirt you get with that membership.

while there are many members who have worked very hard to get this club up and running, met for countless hours and worked to make it a great club. It is in its infancy and will take some time ( Or a LARGE donation from SCOT) to get rolling. Most importantly it costs money to put on events and get things done. I have asked for Club members to volunteer just a lfew hours of time to get some people signed up and sell some Items at the launch to help pay for events and insurances and got no where.
I am not going to talk pros and cons of the club. Your all adults and you know what a club is about, its entirely up to you if youd like to make something happen here in CT and have some comeraderie in the state or if we just want to be a group of A holes riding around in our over powered canoes.
Granted our last event was a disaster! It wasnt promoted properly, and I will commend Scot for showing up and trying his best to support his club. I am hoping we can all chalk it up to a learning experience and move forward.
One thing we REALLY need is a good news letter and theres NO EXCUSE for that event not being promoted Via members EMAIL list weeks before the event.
The Rookies event was a great time though no one can deny that!
I know the BOG will be working hard to try and bring new Idea and events to the club as the finances will allow.
We are always open to suggestions.....
