:evilb: We only heve two weeks til the summer officially begins....what are we doing for the holiday weekend??? Ill start by making a reccomendation. I say we go to Claudios one day, and then have a raft up another day, like maybe hamburg cove or something. Sunday, Claudios....Monday, raft up and recover from Sunday! Lets hear any thoughts or suggestions....

i suggest that i keep my snowmobile gear out so i can stay warm. WTF is with the weather.

id say id be heading to the beach, but im more thinking some fun fun local. like maybe meet up at misery island on saturday and shoot up to mad fish grill, then over to boston and hit up one of the bars and raft up. (id prob spend the night if they let me)
or maybe shoot over to newburyport on sunday and raft up
id rather do the beach but if this weather dont change the beach is going to be cold

not sure what we are doing yet. i know we will probably be at pavilion for memorial day. not sure about the rest.

Not sure if there is any interest from the guy more East of me, but there is a free concert on the water in Stamford Harbor on the 28th during the day. It is right outside the docks for The Crabshell.

I'm waiting on paperwork for my regs, but I hope to be in the water (and legal) by then.

I dont know what Christine's work schedule looks like, but if she's not working and the weather looks good, I plan on taking the boat out at least two of the three days. As we taked about in the other thread, I too was thinking Hamburg Cove (or the Thimbles) for one day and Claudio's for the other... I dont really care in which order.

I'm with you on that Scott, although Hamburg cove is somewhat boring. Thimbles are much more fun. Not to mention if we have a few loud performance boats, the whiners are going to scream bloody murder. I get enough looks when I run on the river as it is...

If you get as far as the Thimbles, all 3 restaurants and all marinas on the Branford River will be open (Lobster Shack tie up is free, and BYO)...I'll meet up for a raft and some BS, it beats going to Stratford to be over charged and underfed....

I'm not sure either spot is much more fun than the other, I guess it's all what you make of it and what company you're in. I look at it as a choice of fresh water (or close to it) or saltwater. The only reason I always prefer to go to the Thimbles is that it's one of the most beautiful spots on the entire Sound (IMO). The price for mooring and drinks is right too. :drink:



F'em, all the more reason to go then! Who's going to say poop if we roll in with a bunch of us together??? As long as the cops aren't bothing me, I dont give a rats azz what the polo club thinks! It's not like the cops are going to come looking for us for disturbing the peace... :party-smiley-004:

No, but maybe not enough sleep! :D Now that you mention it though, today I would go out of my way to piss off some 'Judge Elihu Smails' if I caught him giving me a dirty look because of the boat. :D

Regarding the regs, I should be somewhat legal one way or another... it just might not be my name on the tags at that time. :grinser010: But of course, Mike is always welcome on the boat regardless... Christine loves her little hamster friend! :eek:

kev i ordered a pair tall ones last night from kmj motorsports in iowa should have by mid next week, mikes going come back down to fire the motor adjust everthing and i will be done.

But if you look closer his buddy (assumption) is over having a good time.

lol, well the one way over is actually the owner of the boat. the guy sitting on the boat close is his cousin. we made him sit there because the bone head came on the boat with work boots on and went to jump boat to boat. we yelled at him, made him take his shoes off and stay on the boat. lol
it was pretty funny.
esp the joke of the day was the only guy without a job has work boots on. lol

Ill have the plate. Im hoping to splash by next weekend biys. The powder coating will be done by monday and will all be assembled. I may no be 100% done with all the acceries but hopefu;; run and drive by then. Im taking the Saterday off so I have a 3 day weekend

It's going to be really close on this end regarding the paperwork I need for the registration... but hopefully!!!

we will be out there. crossing fingers that the river isnt loaded with floating debris.

the rams are working good. here is a short list of what i either repaired or replaced:

1. new cockpit cover
2. new anodes on outdrives
3. new serpentine belts
4. new water impellars
5. new outdrive rams
6. new switch covers
7. new mp3 hookup for ipod
8. new o rings for leaking trim tab ram
9. new bow light
10. fixed stern light
11. new tensioner pulley
12. new indicator cable

Think thats it...Just have a few of those left to do. Have the parts, just need the weather.

I have a few of those on my list too mostly electrical gremlins like my stern light thats never worked yet. I have a lantern for that.LOL

My docking lights are out again too. I would have fixed them but Kev HAD TO GET OUT before his vacation. Hes like a 2 year old cant take no for an answer.LOL

Yea, I cant deny the 2 yr old insult.I am young at heart!.... Only thing I can say is, we made plans ALL week to go out on Saturday, then, Saturday morning at 9:30 AM Jeff wants to call it off cause HE isnt ready! I had other people going with me too.....boats already uncovered and pulled out, Skater Rob had already got gas and washed his boat! IMO, he's a 2 yr for this......."Wait! Stop everyone and everything! Im not ready! Can you cancel everyones day on the water???? Im not ready, can everyone reschedule for tomorrow so I can fix my docking light??? Whats the big deal?
