Haha! Honestly, what I really need is to spend some time with it to learn how to control the damn thing around the docks! Between the stagger and those big cleavers (never mind the blower surge), the damn thing doesn't counter rotate for ****! Throw one in reverse and one forward, it just surges forward like the one isn't even in reverse! With those big props, just engaging one of the drive really pushes the boat forward. It's definitely going to take some time for me to get comfortable with it, that's for sure!

I am no expert but when that happens grab a hand full of throttle on the engine in reverse, the longer the boat the more this holds true, it takes a lot to move the bow around but you will notice the stern does not move half of what it takes to bring the bow around. I am still getting used to my rig. I could and would dock the Cafe anywhere.

Scot. I really wish I took video of the boat idling through Hayes Haven, the blower surge was so crazy, the boat was lunging forward on every surge. COOL SH!T. That boat definately squishes the term "pleasure boat" ! The nastiest sounding boat Ive heard...........

Thanks Frank, that's pretty much what I was thinking too. I've tried using a little bit of engine and even the wheel, but I think the trick might just be a lot more RPM on that reverse engine. Like i said, it's going to take some time playing with it to get the hang of it.

You can really feel the surge on the boat too, especially with both engines on and in sync!

Scot my boat does this too I just have to use a little throttle to make it rotate, if I just drop both in hear it goes forward

My 26 didn't do that it would rotate at idle speed if it didn't stall the port engine lol

Don't forget with a high x dimension the prop wash is jotting the back oh the transom in reverse somewhat negating the force if the prop on the water

It's just churning water back there
