How many boats can we get to shady river this weekend for a run? Did not get to run the Scarab yet this year but having a great time with the Cigarette. Got caught in the rain on Great Bay 2 weeks ago. Here is my wife and her brother being good sports.

im fairly certain that im going to shady river friday 1030am ish. one of my stops might be the tuckahoe inn. i have not really studied the water depth at there dock at low tide yet. but hopefully im there or somewhere in that area friday. i have a black hull ZT280 checkmate. For those who have never been there on facebook with a few pics , its on the great egg harbor river , maybe 10 miles or so south of mays landing on rt 559. who else remembers as a kid boating on that river and going past the nudest colony? my dad would keep going back and forth while mom yelled.

i think it was called sunshine or sunset beach, i was real young maybe 10 or so i just turned 50 this year so it was sometime ago. i try and go to shady river once a year. im in the pittsgove area so its about 40 mins from my casa to salem, or hargrove or shady river. of course the cheasapeake always wins out IMO. When I was in my mid teens parents of a friend of mine had a shore house in seaview harbor. I couldn't count the number of times we jumped on the family ski boat which was a 1970 century inboard with a 440 chrysler and flew up that river and past the nudist colony. If memory serves me correctly most of the dock was enclosed by a brown picket fence with very close board spacing.

Launched at Hargroves a couple of times last year and the current really makes it difficult to get the boat back on the trailer.
