MD

Sick Stinger 08-03-2011 05:30 AM

It's not that I didn't remember I would just think they would be standard rotation it's a big heavy toilet why spin in can't help that much and funny part is Jamie said oh hey make sure the props are turning correct because one has a little walk and I'd he didn't I would have forgot and all would be great. I'm going to check the lifter tick adjust the trailer check fluids again today Friday looks to be next run. I'd say FR is a go!
-Mike

SS930 08-03-2011 05:44 AM

Haha, I haven't done that, YET... but I'm sure I will in time as I always take the props off every time I pull the boat out of the water. All it will take is one good hang over and I'll put them on backwards! :drink:

Great news Mike!!!! So I'll assume you didn't get a chance to flip the props and take it back out?

I'm so happy for you bro!

Some guys spin them in for more stern lift and in my opinion the boat feels squirelly and sucks to dock. Cafe's love bow lift, spin them out and trim it out the boat will ride like a dream.I used to trim it out as long as I was gaining speed until it porpoises then tuck them in a hair.

30ctsutphen 08-03-2011 07:06 PM

sick my boat has the lowers spinning in, my old one was spinning out. I liked them spinning out better. I intend to swap mine on the 31 soon but they have the low water transom pic ups and they are tapped in on the outside so I will have to deal with that before I can change them.

Sick Stinger 08-03-2011 09:12 PM

Going to give it a shot as it sits right now. Pain in the nuts to swap the drives. But if handles like crap and doesnt run some decent numbers ill swap it.
-Mike

Audiofn 08-04-2011 07:33 AM

I think Buggus had his top gun spinning in and it ran better. Every boat is different you may like in better. It can be as much as 5MPH on some boats. On that thing maybe 2 would be my guess. 302 is correct, in is more bow lift and those boats need as much as they can get.

Sick Stinger 08-04-2011 09:36 AM

Audio i agreed so much hull in the water lots of drag
-Mike

kreed 08-04-2011 09:42 AM

Mike, in doing all that work, would be good idea to cut a couple steps in that ole' Cafe! If it works, we'll do Moby next! Hahaha:grinser010:

Sick Stinger 08-04-2011 10:45 AM

Well I do have a saw and a 12K lift. Whats the worst that could happen.......
-Mike

30ctsutphen 08-04-2011 05:15 PM

I wanna see how tjis turns out!.

Knowing Mikey He might actually take on a job like that. It would be cool to see.

Sick Stinger 08-06-2011 08:42 AM

Steps are cut in and 1st run was yesterday with lil red. Still have a valve train tick but other then that all is well. After the run ill tear down the upper end and check it
-Mike

30ctsutphen 08-06-2011 08:49 AM

Lost eithr a watr pump or a sending unit today but I think it was a water pump. I towd th boat home so I could work on it this week and maybe still make the run.:drink:

Unlimited jd 08-06-2011 10:23 PM

I did a pump at the ramp a few weeks back I would hope you can get it fixed in a week, if not just show up to the run early with extra $$$$ and i'll fix it right there lol

Sick Stinger 08-07-2011 06:22 AM

Jeff let me know if you need anything see what I can do. But if its that simple you shoould be able to handle it
-Mike

30ctsutphen 08-07-2011 11:05 AM

Yeah It should be a pretty easy fix Ive just been swamped with work all of a sudden. this week is going to be even worse for me with work of course because I have somewhere Id like to go.LOL

as long as its only a Wp I should be fine but it was going into gaurdian mode and the engine was staying plenty cool even though it was showing 0.4 for water pressure and 1.4 on plane.

Both pissers were working fine until the last 3 minutes of the day where the port engine slowed to e drip, oddly the starbord smart craft was the one reading low.LOL

Audiofn 08-07-2011 08:25 PM

Make sure the pisser is not clogged up! I did the water pump one time and later found out a piece of crap got stuck in the hole.

Sick Stinger 08-07-2011 08:32 PM

Audio but it went into gaurdian mode???,,,???
-Mike

Audiofn 08-08-2011 05:56 AM

I was just talking about his other motor. He said that the one that the pisser was not working on was not the one that went into guardian mode. Unless I read that wrong?

kreed 08-08-2011 06:16 AM

Jeff, remove the circulalator pump and put a crossover on instead, that way.............oh, wait, never mind. :lolhit:
